Decoiler Straightener Feeder Installation and Commissioning at Vietnam Customer Factory

Recently, the service team of Changzhou Jinzhide Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. traveled to a customer’s factory in Vietnam to complete the on-site installation, commissioning, and production testing of a Decoiler Straightener Feeder. The equipment is designed for automatic coil processing and stamping production, integrating coil decoiling, material straightening, and automatic feeding functions into one system.

For stamping manufacturers, proper equipment installation and adjustment are important factors affecting feeding stability, material straightness, and cooperation between the feeding system and the Stamping Press. After the equipment arrived at the customer’s factory, Jinzhide technicians carried out the complete installation process, including machine positioning, mechanical assembly, electrical connection, parameter adjustment, and production testing, ensuring smooth integration with the customer’s stamping line.

Decoiler Straightener Feeder Installed Together with Stamping Press

The Decoiler Straightener Feeder installed at the Vietnam customer factory consists of a Decoiler section and a Straightener Feeder unit. The Decoiler is used to support and unwind the coil material, while the Straightener section processes the material through multiple rollers before the Feeder delivers the sheet into the stamping area.

As shown in the installation site, the Decoiler Straightener Feeder was positioned next to the Stamping Press according to the customer’s production layout. During installation, Jinzhide engineers first used lifting equipment to place the machine components into the designated area. Based on the position of the Stamping Press, feeding direction, and production space, technicians adjusted the machine center line, feeding height, and installation position.

Laser alignment was used during the positioning process to confirm the feeding direction and ensure proper connection between the Decoiler Straightener Feeder and the Stamping Press.

After the machine position was confirmed, the connecting plates were installed and tightened. The machine feet were then fixed with expansion bolts to improve installation stability and provide a reliable foundation for further commissioning.

Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic System Connection

After completing the mechanical installation, Jinzhide technicians continued with the hydraulic system connection. The hydraulic pipes were connected according to the equipment requirements, and 46# anti-wear hydraulic oil was added to support the hydraulic functions of the machine.

The electrical installation included connecting the drive cables, PLC control system, and main power supply. At the same time, the air pipes were connected for the pneumatic control functions required during operation.

The Decoiler Straightener Feeder uses a PLC control system to coordinate the operation of the Decoiler, Straightener, and Feeder. During automatic production, each section works together according to the signals from the Stamping Press, allowing continuous coil processing and material feeding.

Photoelectric Adjustment and Stamping Line Commissioning

After the basic connections were completed, Jinzhide engineers adjusted the two sets of photoelectric sensors on the machine. Proper sensor positioning allows the equipment to detect material conditions and coordinate the unwinding process during production.

The machine was then tested through no-load operation. Using the touch screen control system, technicians started the equipment and checked the operation of the Decoiler, straightening rollers, and feeding mechanism to confirm that all movements were smooth and coordinated.

After the machine operation was confirmed, the Decoiler Straightener Feeder was connected with the customer’s Stamping Press. The feeding signal cable and release signal cable were connected, allowing the feeding system and stamping equipment to work together according to the production cycle.

Through signal communication between the two machines, the Feeder sends material into the stamping die according to the preset parameters, while the Stamping Press performs the stamping process automatically.

Coil Loading, Material Threading and Production Testing

After completing the equipment adjustment, the customer’s coil material was loaded onto the Decoiler. The coil was positioned on the machine, and the material head was guided into the Straightener rollers.

During the threading process, the material passes through the straightening rollers before entering the feeding section. Jinzhide technicians adjusted the straightening pressure according to the material thickness and production requirements through the adjustment handwheel, allowing the sheet material to be processed smoothly before entering the Stamping Press.

After the material feeding test was completed, the entire production process was checked, including coil unwinding, material straightening, automatic feeding, and stamping operation.

The on-site commissioning allowed the customer to understand the actual working process of the Decoiler Straightener Feeder and verify the connection between the automatic feeding system and the stamping equipment.

Decoiler Straightener Feeder for Automatic Coil Stamping Production

The Decoiler Straightener Feeder combines three functions: coil decoiling, material straightening, and automatic feeding. Compared with separate Decoiler, Straightener, and Feeder machines, the integrated structure helps simplify production line arrangement and reduces the connection between individual machines.

During operation, the Decoiler provides continuous coil material supply, the Straightener improves the flatness of the sheet through roller leveling, and the Feeder delivers the material according to the working cycle of the Stamping Press.

This type of equipment can be configured for different coil materials, including cold rolled steel, stainless steel, aluminum sheet, and copper strip. It is widely used for stamping applications such as automotive components, household appliance parts, electronic components, and hardware products.
